I enjoy challenging the preconceived ideals that traditionalists dictate as to technique and strategy. I am constantly playing, experimenting, and absorbing the lessons of discovery that watercolor, mixed media, acrylics and oils teach me.

The process of translating my feelings and past experiences into a piece of art fascinates and intrigues me daily to paint the new ideas and inspirations that occur to me.  What I have found that I enjoy the most is the painting of the painting. That exciting experience of putting the colors on the beautiful paper and watching and manipulating what comes about! I am fascinated with the use of color and shape to create images of impressions which have influenced me through life’s journey as a woman, mother and educator to reflect my love of nature, animals and the human condition.
